När Alex (Selena Gomez) mot sin vilja tvingas följa med familjen på semester till Karibien blir hon allt annat än glad. Under ett gräl med sin mamma råkar hon uttala en trollformel som gör att hennes föräldrar tror att de aldrig har träffats! Det enda som kan bryta förtrollningen är den magiska ”Drömmarnas sten”. Max försöker återförena sina föräldrar samtidigt som Alex och Justin beger sig på jakt efter stenen. De blir tvungna att övervinna sin rivalitet och tillsammans använda alla sina magiska krafter för att hitta stenen. Men kommer de att lyckas rädda sin familj innan det är försent?
