The Fighting Temptations
Darrin Hall har precis förlorat jobbet och jagas av fodringsägare över hela New York. När allt ser som mörkast ut får Darrin veta att hans faster Sally precis dött och lämnat efter sig en stor förmögenhet. Väl på plats i sin gamla hemstad i Georgia, får Darrin veta att det finns en liten hake i fasterns testamente. För att få några pengar måste han först uppfylla fasterns sista önskan att leda stadens gospelkör till seger i den årliga gospeltävlingen. En närmast omöjlig uppgift med tanke på att stadens innevånare i det närmaste kan betecknas som tondöva. För sin inre syn ser Darrin hur fasterns alla miljoner går upp i rök.
