Denna semibiografiska film handlar om en lägre medelklass tonåring och hennes neurotiska familj i Beverly Hills. Vivians familj flyttar till en billig lägenhet i Beverly Hills för att hon och hennes bror ska kunna gå i de finare skolorna i området.
